I’m so pleased that you want to find out more about leading Great Meols Primary. It’s a really wonderful school, and I believe the role of Headteacher presents a fantastic career opportunity.

It’s important that candidates share the absolute commitment to pupils that's at the heart of Oak Trees MAT. We continually challenge ourselves to ensure that we are doing the very best we can by every child in our schools. That means a relentless pursuit of improvement, a real appetite for innovation and a commitment to seeking out innovation and best practice in education.

I am very proud of what the Trust has achieved in our first few years. Our clear objective from the outset was to realise the potential that we knew was more than the sum of our parts, and across a whole basket of attributes – school improvement, finance, training and collaboration, to name just a few – that transformative approach is now firmly established. We want to build on this good work, increase the momentum of improvement, and establish even closer relationships with our schools’ communities.

You’ll find the Trust a highly collaborative working environment, where school leaders draw on one another’s expertise, and where constructive challenge is welcome. Our CARE values – Co-operate and collaborate, Achieve excellence for all, Raise aspirations and inspire imaginations, Explore new interests and new ideas – permeate everything we do.
